Government Budget Team Quizzed By Private Sector

Part of the team involved in preparing the National Annual Budget Presentation met with representatives of the private sector last week at a seminar entitled "How does the 2009 Budget Affect You."

The seminar was organized by CMMB as part of its efforts to educate and nurture the minds of the public towards sustaining "intelligent investing."

The panel included Richard Peterin of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ms Vangie Baghoo CMMB's Senior Research Analyst and from the Budget Office Mr. Imbert St. Juste and Ms. Corintha Thomas.

Richard Peterin provided a comprehensive summary of the budget in his presentation themed "Making Sense of the Budget."

The representatives of the Ministry of Finance sought to clarify the budget strategy and responded to questions and concerns from the audience.
