LIME, the Caribbean's leading full service telecoms provider, is celebrating its selection as the first carrier in the region to partner with a number of indigenous banks to provide an innovative service via the mobile phone.

The mobile banking solution will allow LIME customers with accounts at any of the member banks to access their information, pay bills and conduct other banking transactions from their mobile phones.

Mobile banking will be run on LIME's messaging platform in the five islands where the service has been launched in Phase 1, namely Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia and Turks & Caicos. In St. Lucia the participating bank is 1st National Bank Ltd.

Lime mobile customers will now enjoy banking services protected by the same high level of security that they experience when logging on to their bank account using their computer. The advent of mobile banking also brings with it convenience for customers who can conduct business 24 hours a day from their person mobile phone.
