The Office of the Private Sector Relations, OPSR will on Wednesday introduce its business development programme called "STRIDE" - Strengthening Trade through Rural Investments and Development of Entrepreneurship.
The programme is funded by the European Union under the SFA 2005 programme. The project has eight major objectives, among them the encouragement of economic diversification, poverty reduction, the strengthening of Small and Medium enterprise, the enhancement of competitiveness of the ICT sector and entrepreneurship development.
The beneficiaries of STRIDE include: the private sector in general; entrepreneurs; exporters; business associations; government trade support agencies; youth; poverty-stricken communities; rural areas; Small and Medium Enterprises; priority export sectors; female entrepreneurs and the general population.
