Viking Traders Creates Market For Local Pepper Farmers

A local food processing company says the future is bright for St. Lucian pepper farmers. Viking Traders has been supplying its pepper sauce to markets in the United States of America and has pending orders for the United Kingdom and Canada in the New Year.

Viking Traders has now contracted 20 farmers who will be supplying the company with 30,000 pounds of peppers weekly. The Company is HACCP certified to the BRC

Global Food Standard of Codex Alimentarius, which positions it for great growth potential in international markets.

According to the Managing Director Mr. Nicholas Zephirin, "we believe when we support our farmers locally we keep the money at home. We are 100% locally owned and operated and our company has won several 1st place international awards which makes us very proud as St. Lucians. We are truly a St. Lucian company with World Class products."
