The National Development Corporation trading as Invest St. Lucia held its annual Staff Awards and Appreciation Dinner and recognized its outstanding employees at the Kimatrai Hotel in Vieux Fort on Saturday February 12th, 2011.
Employees were awarded in several categories for their exceptional individual work and demonstration of their team member qualities while on the job.

The Customer Service Award is presented to the employee who best exemplifies the principles of good customer service. These include politeness, attentiveness, responsiveness and professionalism.
This award was bestowed on Mrs. Vernessa Didier, Administrative Officer from the Head Office.
Ms. Annie Ellis, Administrative Officer at the Vieux-Fort Office was the proud recipient of the Most Improved Employee Award. Ms. Ellis was deemed the employee who has shown an improvement in their quality of work, attendance, timeliness and general deportment.
Employee of the Year Award is bestowed on the employee who has produced a high quality of work, is always punctual, committed, disciplined, innovative and a good team player.
This prestigious award went to Mr. Sean Deligny, Properties Officer from the Vieux-Fort Office.
Manager's Award is presented to the manager who has produced a high quality of work, is always punctual, committed, disciplined, innovative and a good team player.
Mr. John Labadie, Technical Services Manager was presented with this achievement.
The Information Technology Department was Award Department of the Year for their good team spirit shown in getting their job well done.
Mr. Lyndon Samuel, Information Systems Administrator won the General Manager's Award for his significant contribution to the successful completion of a task/event/situation.
Special tokens of appreciation were presented to Donna Fontenelle, the Properties Administration Officer at Duty Free Pointe Seraphine and Jeremiah Edward, Accounts Supervisor, for their roles in overseeing the day-to-day running of Duty Free Pointe Seraphine and Finance/Accounts Department while these positions waited to be filled.
General Manager Timothy Greene in addressing the employees noted that the Corporation was working towards recognizing and rewarding the Corporation's high achievers to motivate them into continuously providing increased levels of professionalism and customer service.
Directors, Management and Staff of the Castries and Vieux Fort Offices attended the event along with the acting Chairman Mr. Jodi Boodhoo and recently appointed Operations Manager of Duty Free Pointe Seraphine, Mr. Giovanni St. Omer.
