After months of anticipation and preparation the National Development Corporation (NDC); the agency charged with investment generation and facilitation on the island, on Friday, August 7th, 2009 will officially handover keys to the latest Information Communications and Technology (ICT) company to set up shop on St. Lucia.

Friday's key handover ceremony for the three hundred seating-capacity centre, follows the signing of a long term lease agreement between the NDC and Ark TeleServices. As part of its commitment the NDC undertook retrofitting works on a factory shell in Bisee, which will now house the new company.

Based in the USA with well over a decade of industry experience, Ark TeleServices is a full service call centre for the B2B publishing industry providing a complete range of services for the top business publishers in the US. The company also provides services to large and small enterprises through both inbound and outbound technologies.

NDC's Acting General Manager Timothy Greene says "With a strong reputation for setting high standards for customer service and professional ethics, the NDC and St. Lucia as a whole are pleased to welcome the latest call centre entrant into the local market."

The entry of Ark Teleservices Greene says, "Will not only provide employment to scores of young St. Lucians, but will also serve as testament to the hard work being done by the NDC at attracting new investments into St. Lucia."

Officials of Ark Teleservices say their entry into St. Lucia will allow them to continue to deliver quality results and service, while boosting circulation and generating profits for clients at the best pricing in the industry.

The presence here of Ark Teleservices comes under the watchful eye of the Minister with responsibility for the NDC and Minister for External Affairs, International Trade and Investment Honourable Rufus Bousquet.
