An increased consumer awareness of the products and services available at the island's premier duty free shopping complex - Pointe Seraphine, is underpinning the 2009 year-end promotional campaign that got underway from December 8th, 2009.

Under the theme "A Duty Free Christmas," the three week campaign primarily targets local residents with the secondary target market being the many visitors expected here during what has been described as a more hectic and busy cruise ship season.

The interactive campaign outlines extended shopping hours, inaugural cruise ship visits, varied entertainment events featuring several local artistes, charitable donations to the less fortunate, radio promotions and store open-day activities.

Operations Manager at Duty Free Pointe Seraphine Ena James says, "the campaign will not only increase brand awareness of the Duty Free Pointe Seraphine complex, but will critically serve as an economic stimulus package for the many fine retail outlets, which like other stores the world over, have been hard hit by the recent downturn in the economy."

Season shoppers and the general public are being encouraged to take advantage of the many and in some cases free products or otherwise drastically reduced promotional prices being offered by retailers at Duty Free Pointe Seraphine throughout the duration of the campaign.

Duty Free Pointe Seraphine is owned and managed by the National Development Corporation.
